Recent Syncro Features and Improvements

Release Update

Hey everyone,

Here are some larger features the Syncro team has been working on:

  1. Policy Inheritance officially entered into early access about two weeks ago! A select number of MSPs are now live with the feature and are working closely with our product team to tweak and improve things wherever and whenever possible. So far, our early-access users are absolutely loving the feature. We can’t wait to bring this one live for our entire user base later this year.
  1. We’re getting close to our first release candidate of our Mac agent. This will bring full Splashtop support, as well as Syncro’s scripting module commands which were previously exclusive to our Windows agent. Look for those updates in the coming weeks.
  1. We’re also improving Syncro Backups across the board. We added a new file and folder picker control and a new billing report to showcase which customers are consuming backup licenses and storage overages. We’ll add wildcards in file inclusions shortly. These have been released in tandem with a wide array of stability improvements with several more in flight.
  1. On the feature front, we are adding security improvements across the platform. We recently released deeper MFA control, and we have an update coming soon which will notify users when abnormal logins are detected. We continue working toward our updated IP allow list functionality which will now encompass Global Admins as well.

We’ve also closed (and continue closing) a wide array of bugs which we’ve detailed in the release notes section here.
