Native tools like the Recycle Bin have strict retention limits (e.g., 30-93 days) and coverage gaps, leaving you vulnerable to permanent data loss from accidental deletion, ransomware, or malicious insiders.
Data loss can happen for many reasons: accidental deletion by users, malicious actions from disgruntled employees, external threats like ransomware or phishing attacks that corrupt or encrypt critical data, etc.
During setup, you can select your preferred storage region—currently Microsoft Azure datacenters in the U.S., Canada, UK, and Australia—to align with your organization’s compliance or data residency requirements.
