We hope you’re enjoying a productive day.

Today we’ve released an additional customization to Syncro’s Estimate and Invoice modules.

We’re happy to share that you can now give your Estimates and Invoices a specific name of your choosing, add this name to your PDF templates, view this information in the Estimate and Invoice tables, as well as elect whether you’d like for this information to appear in the Customer Portal for your clients to see.

Adding a name is simple from the Invoice creation or edit page:

You can view the name in the Invoice and/or Estimates table, and hover over the individual entry in order to see the entire name if its long:

In order to use Invoice or Estimate names within the PDF versions of these documents, we’ve added two new template tags: {{invoice_name}} and {{estimate_name}}. 

To display Invoice and/or Estimate names in the Customer Portal:

  1. Log into your Syncro account.
  2. Head to the Admin area.
  3. Locate the “Customers” section in the left-hand column.
  4. Click on “Preferences.”
  5. Click on the “Additional Settings” link on the Preferences page.
  6. You will see two new options listed here: one to “Show Estimate Name in the Customer Portal” and another to “Show Invoice Name in the Customer Portal.”
  7. Check-mark the option(s) you’d like to enable and click “Save” at the bottom of the page.
  8. The Estimate and/or Invoice name will now appear in a new column within the Open Invoices portion of the Customer’s Customer Portal.

 

This new field will soon be searchable via Search all the Things and the search field within the Invoice module. Stay tuned!
