Hey Syncro Users,
Today we’re sharing some new functionality and user experience changes to the Assets Quick View modal in Syncro.
If you’re asking yourself what the Quick View modal is, have no fear, we will explain 🙂
1. First, head over to your Syncro account and make your way to the “Assets & RMM” tab.
2. From here, you will notice some immediate User Interface (UI) changes within the Assets table:
- The Offline/Online Asset status now appears in its own column next to the Asset name.
- As you hover over your listed Assets, a Quick View magnifying glass icon will appear over the Asset type icon.
- If you click on the Quick View icon, a Quick View modal will pop up with tons of valuable information and useful action items related to the Asset.
3. Here’s an example of the Quick View modal for a particular Asset:
- The Quick View modal is super powerful, as it allows you to complete a variety of tasks on the fly, from directly within this area, instead of having to navigate to a particular Syncro module to complete an action.
- We’ve also added a new tab to this modal called “Favorites” which contains a list of your Favorited scripts.
- This function allows you to quickly and easily run a script on a particular Asset, without having to navigate away from the Asset itself.
4. To add or remove scripts from your Favorites, head over to the Scripting module and click the Context Menu icon on the far-right of any scripts you’d like to work with. From here you can click the option to “Add” or “Remove” a script from the “Favorites” tab in the Quick View modal:
5. From this menu, you can now also choose to add scripts to the Customer Portal, so you can direct your clients here to quickly and easily allow them to address recurring issues that can be solved using scripts. Currently, when you add a script to the Customer Portal, it shows up for all of your Syncro Customers.
