Hey Syncro users,
Monday blues got you down? Good thing we’ve got tons of new stuff to share with you this week to cheer you up!
We’ve been burning the midnight oil to build out and test a variety of new features, integrations, and functionality within Syncro. Throughout this week, quite a few of these items will come to fruition and be fully available to use.
NOTE: You may discover some of these new additions on your own, prior to seeing an official Release Update about them. Rest assured you will see an announcement and Help Center article (when applicable) for each of these items throughout the week. Stay tuned and be sure to check back here for more info soon!
And now, for our first announcement…
Our Community Script Library is now in Beta and available for use!
The Community Script Library is just as it sounds – a place to view a library of valuable scripts created by both the Syncro team as well as your fellow Syncro user community members. Big thanks to those of you who’ve already started using the library and begun submitting scripts – keep them coming 🙂
How to Access the Library and Add Scripts to your Account
- Log into your Syncro account.
- Click on the “Scripts” tab located in the top navigation bar or under the “More” menu.
- Click on the “Community Script Library (BETA)” button at the top of the page.
You’ll notice that there are around 40 entries currently in the library. If you hover over any one of these entries you’ll see an ellipsis icon on the far right which, when clicked, allows you to add the script to your own personal script library.
You can also import a script to your personal library by clicking on one from the list and then clicking the “Import Script” button at the top of the page.
If you click to import, you’ll be taken to the script editing page where a message will appear showing that the script was successfully copied to your account. You can also clone a script from this screen as well.
Edit the fields to your liking, and click the “Update Script” button at the bottom of the page to save the changes to your account.
Submitting Scripts to the Community Library for Review
You can also create your own scripts to submit to the community! You can do this by following the existing flow to create a new script and test it. After creating the script, if you go to edit, the “Publish to Scripts Library” button will appear at the top of the creation page.
Click this button and follow the prompts to submit your script for review.
NOTE: The Syncro staff reserves the right to determine which scripts are added to the library. We have a few rules for creating your scripts which aim to protect the community who will eventually use your script. These appear in a modal prior to submitting your script for review.
It can take anywhere from a couple of days or more for a script to be reviewed by our staff and added to the library. Once it is approved, your script will appear in the Community Script Library for all Syncro users to access!
For more detailed information on scripting and the new library, view our Help Center article here.
That’s all for now folks. Be sure to keep an eye out for more news this week. Happy scripting!
Cheers,
The Syncro Team
