Release 5/11/18: Improvements to Working with Assets in Tickets

Release Update

Hey everyone,

You asked, we listened!

We’re happy to share that you can now work with Assets that are added to Tickets in a much more streamlined way.

This includes a more efficient process for creating and/or adding Assets to Tickets within the creation flow, as well as an improved user experience when working with Assets on the Ticket Details page after a Ticket has been created.

Let’s walk through how to view these changes in action…

Adding and/or Creating Assets from the Ticket Creation Window

1. Log into your Syncro account and navigate to the Tickets module.

2. Create a new Ticket by clicking on the “New Ticket” button in the upper-righthand corner of the page.

3. Complete the fields toward the top of the Ticket, noticing the newly added “Add Asset” section toward the bottom of the screen, which includes a dropdown menu comprised of a list of existing Assets assigned to the client, as well as a button to create a new Asset from directly within the Ticket creation page.

4.  After selecting an Asset from the dropdown menu, you will notice that the Asset is immediately added to the Ticket along with a few pieces of information about the Asset, in order to give you an idea of whether you’ve selected the intended Asset you wished to use. If you’d like to remove the Asset, simply click the red “x” next to the Asset line.

Working with Assets from the Ticket Details View

1. After creating a Ticket and adding Assets to it, you can view them in the “Relevant Assets” section of the Ticket Details page.

2. Two new buttons appear in this section: “New” and “Add Existing.” These buttons allow you to create new Assets and/or add existing Assets to the Ticket from directly within the Ticket Details page, similar to the Ticket creation page.

Additionally, you can use the context button on the far-right side of an Asset to edit or remove the Asset from the Ticket.
