Frequently Asked Questions

What are Labor Type Time Requirements in Syncro?

This feature allows you to set customized billing rules for different types of work (labor types) within your Syncro PSA. You can define a minimum required time entry and a specific time increment for rounding, ensuring consistent and profitable billing.

How do I set a minimum charge for a labor type?

In Syncro, navigate to Admin > Tickets – Labor Type Time Requirements. Select a labor type (like “Emergency Labor” or “On-Site Support”) and check the box to “Require Minimum Time Entry.” You can then enter the minimum time, such as 60 minutes.

What is the difference between Actual Time and Billable Time in the Labor Log?

Actual Time is the time the technician entered as spent on the task. Billable Time is the time calculated by Syncro after applying your specific minimum time and incremental rounding rules for that labor type.

Can I override the automatically calculated billable time?

Yes. While Syncro automatically handles the rounding, you have the option to edit and override both the calculated Billable Time and the Actual Time value directly within the Labor Log for ultimate flexibility and control.
